- Detailed gun barrel and mantlet assembly.
- Realistic track sections with straight upper and lower lengths.
- Ideal for diorama use or as a display piece alongside other German AFVs.
History: The Elefant originated from Porsche’s unsuccessful bid in the Tiger I tank design competition. Expecting to win, Porsche had already produced 100 chassis, which were later converted into heavy tank destroyers under Hitler’s orders in 1942. Around 90 Elefants were completed by May 1943. Designed for long-range engagement, they were equipped with thick frontal armour and the fearsome 8.8cm Pak 43/2 gun. Despite their low mobility and mechanical issues, Elefants saw combat at Kursk and later in Italy, where their formidable firepower made them a feared opponent until the war’s end.
