History
The Panzer IV was the backbone of the German tank force throughout WWII, evolving through various versions to meet changing battlefield needs. The Ausf.F variant, introduced in 1941, represented a significant upgrade with improved frontal armour and revised hull design. Its low-velocity 75mm gun was well suited for infantry support and anti-fortification roles during early campaigns. Deployed across the Eastern Front and North Africa, the Ausf.F set the foundation for future long-barrelled Panzer IV variants that would see service until the war’s end.
