The HMS Prince of Wales was a King George V-class battleship of the Royal Navy, commissioned in January 1941. She gained distinction for her role in the battle against the German battleship Bismarck, alongside HMS King George V. Later that year, she carried Prime Minister Winston Churchill across the Atlantic to meet U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt for the Atlantic Charter conference. In December 1941, she was deployed to the Far East as part of Force Z but was sunk off the coast of Malaya by Japanese aircraft, marking a pivotal moment in naval warfare.
