This 1/48 scale assembly kit recreates the Japan Ground Self Defense Force Type 16 Maneuver Combat Vehicle. Introduced into service in 2017, the Type 16 is an 8-wheeled, highly mobile fire support and anti-armor platform designed for rapid deployment and flexibility in Japan’s varied terrain. Its domestically developed L/52 105mm rifled gun features a perforated muzzle brake and advanced fire control systems for accuracy on the move. The modular rolled steel armor offers protection against 20-30mm class weapons and portable anti-tank missiles, while the powerful 570hp engine delivers a top speed of approximately 100km/h.
