Tamiya Plastic Model Kit
Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien (Tony) & 4×4 Light Vehicle Kurogane Set (1/48) 25203
This Tamiya set combines two detailed 1/48 scale kits — the Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien fighter aircraft and the Type 95 Kurogane 4×4 light vehicle. The Ki-61-Id was the only Japanese WWII fighter powered by a liquid-cooled inline engine, featuring an elongated nose to accommodate 20mm cannons alongside 12.7mm wing-mounted machine guns. Operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force, it was a capable interceptor, notably used against U.S. B-29 bombers.
The Type 95 Kurogane was the world’s first lightweight 4×4 military vehicle, designed for reconnaissance and communication duties. Compact yet versatile, it served in various theatres including China, South East Asia, and the Pacific.
