This special edition Tamiya set combines two detailed 1/48 scale kits — the Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6 fighter and the German Kübelwagen Type 82 utility vehicle. The Bf109 G-6 was a heavily armed variant of Germany’s most produced WWII fighter, equipped with twin 13mm machine guns, 20mm cannon gondolas, and reinforced armour. This variant was instantly recognisable by its bulged cowlings, or “Beule”, which housed the larger MG 131 armament.
The Kübelwagen Type 82, developed from the Volkswagen Beetle, was a versatile and reliable 4×4 light utility vehicle used extensively by German forces in various theatres. Its lightweight design, air-cooled engine, and rugged suspension made it ideal for reconnaissance and general transport duties.
