Tamiya Mil Mi-24 Hind (1/72)
Build a detailed replica of the iconic Soviet-era assault helicopter with the Tamiya Mil Mi-24 Hind (1/72) plastic model kit. This twin-engine, heavily armed helicopter has been a prominent symbol of Soviet and Russian air power since the 1970s. Nicknamed the ‘Flying Tank’ due to its armoured fuselage and offensive capabilities, the Mi-24 is unique in its dual role as both a gunship and a troop carrier.
This 1/72 scale kit offers a compact yet sharply detailed representation of the Mi-24’s aggressive profile, including its tandem cockpit, weapon pylons, and characteristic tail rotor layout. The fuselage and rotor parts are cleanly moulded, and surface features are finely engraved to match the real aircraft’s rugged appearance. History:
The Mil Mi-24 Hind was introduced in the early 1970s as a revolutionary multi-role attack helicopter by the Soviet Union. Unlike its Western counterparts, the Mi-24 was designed to carry a full squad of troops in addition to its weapons loadout, making it both a gunship and an armoured transport. It saw widespread deployment in Afghanistan during the 1980s and has since served in over 50 countries, participating in conflicts across Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Its enduring presence and combat versatility have made it one of the most recognisable military helicopters in the world.
