Tamiya Missouri US Navy Battleship (1/700)
This 1/700 scale plastic model assembly kit recreates the iconic USS Missouri (BB-63), a celebrated Iowa-class battleship of the US Navy. Commissioned in 1944, Missouri served in the Pacific during WWII, providing naval gunfire support and taking part in critical operations including bombardments of the Japanese mainland. Most notably, the formal Japanese surrender marking the end of WWII was signed aboard her deck in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. The battleship continued service during the Korean War and was later modernised to participate in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 before being retired in 1993.
