History:
The Nissan Fairlady 280Z, part of the S130 series, debuted in August 1978 alongside the smaller-engined 200Z. The 280Z featured a 2.8-litre inline-six engine, offering improved performance and refinement over its predecessor. In 1980, Nissan introduced the T-Bar Roof version, which combined the structural rigidity of a fixed roof with the open-air feel of a convertible, thanks to its removable glass panels. This feature became a hallmark of 1980s sports car design. The Fairlady Z was known for blending performance, comfort, and distinctive styling, solidifying its place as one of Japan’s most recognisable sports cars of the era.
