History:
Launched in 1969, the Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R (model code PGC10 for the four-door and later KPGC10 for the two-door) was powered by a 2.0-litre DOHC inline-six engine derived from Nissan’s racing programme. Producing 160 horsepower, it was capable of impressive performance for its time, dominating Japanese touring car racing with an astounding 50 consecutive victories. Its boxy, purposeful styling combined with mechanical sophistication cemented its place in automotive lore. Today, the “Hakosuka” GT-R is a sought-after collector’s car, representing the origins of the GT-R performance lineage that continues to this day.
