History:
The P-51 Mustang was one of the most versatile fighters of World War II, serving across Europe, the Pacific, and beyond. The P-51D introduced the bubble canopy and heavier armament, while the P-51K featured a different propeller and was often used in the Pacific Theatre. Both variants were instrumental in bomber escort missions and ground-attack roles, contributing significantly to Allied air dominance in the latter stages of the war.
