Developed and fielded from 1992 onwards, the M109A6 Paladin continued a long line of American self-propelled artillery. Armed with a 155mm L/39 howitzer capable of firing up to 30km, the Paladin was used in supporting roles throughout the Iraq War of 2003. It featured improved automation, fire control, and crew protection, making it a formidable component in modern US armoured units.
