Tamiya German Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf.J Sd.Kfz.161/2 (1/48)
The Panzerkampfwagen IV was the backbone of the German armoured forces during WWII, serving on every major front from the invasion of Poland to the final days in Berlin. The Ausf.J variant, introduced in 1944, was the last production model and featured design changes aimed at simplifying manufacturing and improving battlefield performance. These included the removal of the electric turret traverse in favour of a manual system, additional armour plates, and the installation of side skirts (Schürzen) for enhanced protection against anti-tank weapons.
Armed with the powerful 7.5cm KwK 40 L/48 gun, the Ausf.J could engage enemy armour effectively while still providing fire support for infantry operations. It was used extensively on both the Eastern and Western Fronts, from the defensive battles in Normandy to the desperate fighting in the Soviet Union.
- 1/48 scale assembly model kit with exceptional detail
