Sturmgeschutz III Ausf.G Finnish Army (1/35) 35310
This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit recreates the Sturmgeschütz III Ausf.G as operated by the Finnish Army during WWII. They were deployed effectively in defensive operations on the Eastern Front, where their low profile, strong armour, and accurate firepower proved decisive in anti-tank roles.

History
The Sturmgeschütz III Ausf.G was Germany’s most-produced armoured fighting vehicle of WWII, valued for its cost-effectiveness and combat versatility. In 1943, Finland received an initial batch of thirty Ausf.Gs, followed by an additional twenty-nine in 1944. These vehicles were instrumental in halting Soviet armoured advances during key battles such as Tali-Ihantala. Finnish crews valued the StuG’s low silhouette and accurate main gun, which enabled them to ambush Soviet tanks effectively. Many remained in Finnish service well into the post-war years, serving as a cornerstone of Finland’s armoured forces until the 1960s.
