Tamiya Plastic Model Kit
Type 1 Japanese Tank with 6 figures (1/35) 35331
The Type 1 Ho-Ni I self-propelled gun was developed by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1943 to provide mobile fire support, combining the chassis of the Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank with a 75mm Type 90 field gun mounted in a fixed casemate. Only around 140 units were produced, many of which were destroyed or disabled during transport or combat operations in the Philippines late in WWII. Those that saw battle proved surprisingly effective and were noted by US forces for their firepower and resilience.
This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya offers a precise reproduction of the Type 1, capturing the open-top structure and riveted armour layout. The kit also includes a complete crew set, consisting of six detailed figures in various action poses, which allows for dynamic diorama building. The open superstructure reveals interior components, adding another layer of realism to this Pacific theatre subject.
