Tamiya Waterline Series
Tamiya U.S. Navy CA-35 Indianapolis (1/700)
This 1/700 scale plastic model kit recreates the USS Indianapolis (CA-35), a Portland-class heavy cruiser of the U.S. Navy. Commissioned in 1932, the Indianapolis served throughout the Pacific theatre during World War II, participating in key operations including the Aleutian Islands campaign and the Battle of Iwo Jima. In July 1945, she famously delivered parts of the atomic bomb to Tinian Island before being tragically sunk by a Japanese submarine, resulting in one of the worst naval disasters in U.S. history.
- 1/700 scale plastic model assembly kit
- Depicts the Indianapolis in her late-war configuration
- Features detailed bridge, deck armament, and radar equipment
- Includes aircraft such as the Curtiss SC Seahawk
- Part of Tamiya’s Waterline Series for historic naval modellers
An important addition to any WWII naval collection, this model honours the legacy and sacrifice of one of the U.S. Navy’s most storied warships.
