US M113A2 Desert Version Iraq 03 (1/35) 35265
This 1/35 scale kit depicts the U.S. M113A2 Armoured Personnel Carrier as deployed during the 2003 Iraq War. The M113 series, introduced in the early 1960s, became one of the most widely used tracked APCs in history. The A2 variant, produced from 1979, incorporated battlefield experience from Vietnam, featuring upgraded suspension, improved cooling, and enhanced reliability for harsh environments.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom, the M113A2 served alongside modern IFVs like the M2A2 Bradley, supporting logistics, troop transport, and command operations. In Iraq, vehicles were fitted with Combat Identification Panels (CIP) to reduce the risk of friendly fire and configured for desert operations with enlarged trim vanes, external fuel tanks, and smoke dischargers.
- Highly detailed replica of the desert-configured M113A2.
- Accurate large trim vane, external rear-mounted fuel tanks, and front smoke launchers.
- Combat Identification Panels on both sides as used in Iraq 2003.
- M2 Browning .50 cal with optional gun shield.
- Includes personnel stowage: ammo boxes, gear packs, and equipment cases.
- Commander and driver figures in modern U.S. Army attire.
- Decals for three Iraq War vehicles and one NATO service vehicle in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Perfect for pairing with M1A1 Abrams or M2A2 Bradley kits for an authentic early-2000s U.S. armoured formation diorama.
