Tamiya Military Model Kit
Tamiya WWII German Infantry Set (1/48)
During the early years of the Second World War, the German infantry played a pivotal role in the rapid successes of the Wehrmacht’s Blitzkrieg campaigns. Combining mobility, discipline, and coordinated use of infantry, armour, and air support, German troops advanced swiftly through Poland, France, and the Low Countries. Infantry units were typically armed with Mauser Kar98k rifles, MP40 submachine guns, and MG34 or MG42 machine guns, supported by light mortars and anti-tank weapons. Their distinctive field-grey uniforms and steel helmets became an enduring image of the conflict. Tank crews provided critical support, operating vehicles that spearheaded many of these operations.
This 1/48 scale Tamiya set recreates a detailed snapshot of this period, featuring 15 high-quality figures. The set includes 10 early-war style infantry in dynamic charging and firing poses, as well as 5 tank crewmen suitable for use with armoured fighting vehicle models. Each figure is finely moulded with realistic clothing folds and facial expressions, while the included separate sprue of weapons and equipment adds authenticity to any diorama or display.
