History:
British Heavy Dragoons played a decisive role in the final Napoleonic campaigns. Distinguished by their size, power, and discipline, regiments such as the Royal Scots Greys and the 1st (Royal) Dragoons delivered crushing charges in major engagements. At Waterloo, the Union Brigade—composed of British, Scottish, and Irish heavy cavalry—achieved lasting fame by breaking French columns in a ferocious charge. The Scots Greys were especially iconic, clad in bearskins (often covered with oilskins due to the weather) and charging alongside infantry with unwavering resolve. This Victrix set captures the power and grandeur of these regiments with a wealth of options and historical accuracy.
