Victrix Plastic Miniatures
28mm British Household Cavalry VX0025
This finely sculpted 28mm plastic set from Victrix provides 12 British Household Cavalry figures in charging poses, complete with multiple head and arm options to bring dynamic variation to your Napoleonic cavalry units. With detailed uniform elements and superb sculpting throughout, this set is ideal for collectors and wargamers looking to represent Britain’s most prestigious mounted troops on the tabletop.
The figures can be assembled as Royal Horse Guards in blue or the 1st and 2nd Life Guards in red, giving you the flexibility to build either or a mix of the regiments that made up the famed Household Cavalry. A dedicated command frame is included, allowing you to build an officer and trumpeter to lead your formation.
The Household Cavalry played a prominent role throughout the Napoleonic Wars. They took part in the Peninsula Campaign and were heavily engaged during the Waterloo campaign in 1815, where they screened the retreat from Quatre Bras and launched devastating charges as part of Lord Somerset’s Brigade at Waterloo, suffering significant losses.

History:
The British Household Cavalry regiments were the elite of Britain’s mounted forces, distinguished by their striking uniforms and longstanding ceremonial and combat traditions. During the Napoleonic Wars, they formed the heavy cavalry of the Household Brigade, led by Lord Somerset at Waterloo. These regiments delivered powerful charges that temporarily broke through French lines, though often at heavy cost. At Waterloo, the brigade lost nearly half its strength—testament to both their bravery and the brutal reality of cavalry warfare. These soldiers exemplified honour, discipline, and the might of British arms during the Empire’s defining battles.
