28mm Chasseurs à Cheval VX0024
This outstanding set from Victrix includes 12 highly detailed 28mm hard plastic figures representing the famed Chasseurs à Cheval of Napoleon’s Imperial Guard. These elite light cavalry were among the most recognisable and dashing units of the Grande Armée, known for their flamboyant uniforms and daring charges.
The figures are depicted in full dress, complete with ornate braid and pelisse, capturing the splendour and style for which the Chasseurs were known. Sculpted in dynamic charging poses, they bring movement and elegance to any Napoleonic collection or tabletop force.
Originally formed in 1800 as part of the Consular Guard, the Chasseurs retained much of their uniform style through to 1815, with changes mainly in sabretache and flag designs. This kit includes optional flag poles, allowing you to customise the unit for field or parade appearances. History:
The Chasseurs à Cheval of the Imperial Guard were often referred to as Napoleon’s personal escort and were considered one of the most prestigious light cavalry regiments in the French Army. Dressed in green with crimson facings and gold braid, they were a fixture at major battles, from Austerlitz to Waterloo. Their presence near the Emperor made them both a battlefield asset and a symbol of imperial grandeur. Though rarely used recklessly, when unleashed in battle, they delivered swift and disciplined charges that could disrupt enemy lines. The set commemorates this storied regiment, capturing both its battlefield role and ceremonial brilliance.
