12mm German 88mm Gun and Sd.Kfz.7 VG12029
This highly detailed 12mm (1:144 scale) set from Victrix includes three iconic German 88mm guns and three Sd.Kfz.7 halftracks, complete with an extensive assortment of seated and standing crew figures in both European and Afrika Korps uniforms. Widely feared and respected, the 88mm was one of the most effective and versatile weapons of World War II.
Originally designed as an anti-aircraft gun, the 88mm Flak gun quickly earned a reputation as a deadly anti-tank weapon, capable of destroying Allied armour at long range. It served across all theatres—from the Russian front to the deserts of North Africa—and became a symbol of German firepower. Due to its size and weight, the gun required a powerful towing vehicle, and the Sd.Kfz.7 halftrack proved ideal for the role. Introduced in 1934 and used until the end of the war, the Sd.Kfz.7 could transport a full crew along with ammunition and support gear.
This kit allows you to build each 88mm gun either on its four-wheeled carriage or mounted on its cruciform base. The Sd.Kfz.7 models include optional canvas tops and various stowage items, allowing for personalised builds. Sandbag emplacements, ammo crates, and shell casings are also included to enhance your battlefield scenes.

History:
The German 88mm gun became one of the most legendary artillery pieces of the Second World War. Initially fielded as a high-velocity anti-aircraft gun, its flat trajectory and penetrating power soon proved devastating against enemy tanks. By 1940, it was used effectively in France and later in North Africa, where its long-range performance stunned Allied forces. Mounted on a cruciform platform or towed behind a Sd.Kfz.7 halftrack, the gun could be deployed quickly and fired with remarkable accuracy. The accompanying Sd.Kfz.7 was a reliable, high-capacity halftrack capable of carrying up to 12 men and their equipment. Together, this combination became synonymous with German defensive strongpoints and offensive spearheads alike, a defining symbol of the Wehrmacht’s battlefield prowess.
