History:
Huscarls were the professional warriors and bodyguards of Anglo-Saxon nobles and kings during the late Saxon period. Clad in chainmail and wielding the fearsome Dane axe, these warriors formed the backbone of the military elite. They stood apart from the common Fyrd militia through their superior armour, training, and discipline. Huscarls played key roles in battles such as Hastings in 1066 and were central to the military strength of Anglo-Danish England. This Victrix set captures their martial character and equipment in fine detail, perfect for historical wargaming or modelling enthusiasts.
