Victrix Plastic Miniatures
12mm Panzer Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.G VG12023
This Victrix set includes six superbly detailed 12mm (1:144 scale) Panzer IV Ausf.G tanks, along with a decal sheet featuring German crosses and black/white tactical numbers. The Ausf.G was one of the most widely deployed German tanks of the Second World War, serving on all fronts from 1941 to 1945.
As an evolutionary upgrade in the Panzer IV series, the Ausf.G introduced significant improvements in armour and firepower. Early versions were fitted with the short-barrelled 7.5cm gun, but most Ausf.G models were equipped with the longer KwK 40 L/43, giving them improved anti-tank capability and allowing them to challenge the growing threat of Allied medium tanks such as the T-34 and Sherman.
The Panzer IV G struck a balance between protection, firepower, and mobility, making it a frontline workhorse of the German Panzer divisions. With increased frontal armour, it could endure hits that earlier models could not, and its widespread use made it the most produced Panzer IV variant by the mid-war period.

History:
The Panzer IV Ausf.G was introduced in 1942 and marked a significant enhancement in Germany’s armoured warfare capabilities. It retained the core features of the earlier models while incorporating better armour and, in most cases, the longer 7.5cm gun for improved anti-tank performance. This made the Ausf.G a more formidable opponent on the battlefield. It was used extensively in North Africa, the Eastern Front, and later in Western Europe. As German industry ramped up tank production, the Ausf.G became the most numerous of all Panzer IV variants, reinforcing its role as the backbone of German armoured forces through to the end of the war.
