Victrix Plastic Model Figures
Successor Phalangites (28mm) VXA020
This 28mm hard plastic set from Victrix represents Successor Phalangites—infantry formations fielded by the Hellenistic kingdoms that emerged following the death of Alexander the Great. The 27 figures in this set are crisply detailed and designed for maximum versatility, with a wide variety of arms, heads, and equipment allowing hundreds of unique build combinations. The figures are compatible with LBMS shield transfers and banner sheets, offering additional visual impact for display or tabletop use.
The set includes 24 pikemen equipped with long sarissas, supported by three command figures including standard bearers, musicians, and officers. Six body types and fifteen head variants allow for dynamic unit creation. The inclusion of additional weapons, a trumpet, and a banner stand provides flexibility in representing different units or battlefield roles.
These figures are ideal for building armies of the Diadochi—the successor states of Macedonia such as the Seleucids, Ptolemies, or Antigonids—and are suitable for a range of battles throughout the Hellenistic period.

History:
Following Alexander the Great’s death in 323 BCE, his empire fractured into rival kingdoms led by his generals, known as the Diadochi. These Hellenistic states—such as the Seleucid Empire, the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, and the Antigonid dynasty of Macedonia—retained and evolved the Macedonian phalanx as the core of their military power. Armed with long sarissas and trained to fight in deep, dense formations, the Successor Phalangites were fearsome opponents on the battlefield. This set captures the martial precision and grandeur of these formidable troops, who played pivotal roles in the wars of the Hellenistic age.
