History:
By 1815, the British Army had become a seasoned fighting force through years of campaigning across Europe and the Peninsular War. The centre companies of British line regiments formed the bulk of Wellington’s infantry and played a vital role at the Battle of Waterloo. Equipped with the reliable Brown Bess musket and wearing the newly issued Belgic shako, these soldiers were known for their discipline and resilience under fire. At Waterloo, they stood firm against repeated assaults by Napoleon’s veteran troops, anchoring the Allied line in one of history’s most decisive battles. This Victrix set captures the look and feel of those brave men in miniature form.
