History:
The North American P-51D Mustang was arguably the most iconic Allied fighter aircraft of World War II. Renowned for its long-range capabilities, high speed, and excellent dogfighting performance, the Mustang was a game-changer in the European theatre. The ‘D’ variant introduced the bubble canopy for better all-round visibility and carried six .50 calibre machine guns.
Powered by a Packard-built version of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the P-51D could escort bombers deep into enemy territory, turning the tide of the air war. It served not only in Europe but also in the Pacific and post-war conflicts, earning a reputation as a thoroughbred warhorse of the skies.
Zoukei-Mura’s 1/32 scale rendition of the P-51D brings this legendary aircraft to life with intricate interior detailing, allowing modellers to explore the inner workings of the Mustang. A must-have kit for enthusiasts of WWII aviation and builders who appreciate historical accuracy combined with excellent engineering.
