History:
Throughout history, siege warfare evolved to include a range of specialised engines and tools. The battering ram was one of the earliest and most effective, using brute force to break through gates and fortification walls. Assault shields protected infantry from arrows and missiles as they advanced, while ladders were used to scale defensive walls. Defenders fought back using boiling oil, stones, or cauldrons filled with resin to repel attackers at close range. This kit captures the essentials of that brutal and ingenious era of warfare.
